Personal Time Management 5 Things You Should Focus On
When you are busy, it’s easy to forget about your personal time. It is easy for work or the day to day stuff called life to get in the way of looking after yourself. That is why it is just as important that you focus on your personal time management as well to keep life as stress-free as possible. For this reason, here are five personal items that you might want to add to your personal time management list.
1. Health / Diet
I believe that your health is your most important asset. A first key factor to good health is your diet and this is one personal aspect to keep an eye on as far as time management. When talking about time and diet and you need to start thinking about and planning when as well as what you eat, shop or cook. Eating alot of quick meals may save time in the short term but if they are unhealthy it can cost you big time in the longer term.
2. Health / Exercise
Exercise is also important for your health and deserves to be in your personal time management plan. For some it is easy to get out and exercise while others struggle big time to work out. Regardless, it is vital you plan time in your day to jog for 30 minutes, ride your bike a few times each week or whatever you need to do to make exercise a regular part of your routine. A beneficial side effect is that exercise will help reduce your stress level while keeping your body healthy and fit.
3. Family
Family will always be family, so it is important you show them what they mean to you from time to time. Call your mum to see how she is going, call your dad and make sure he is ok. Catch up with your brother or sister, play ball with the kids or watch them play football. If they are important to you, plan to spend time with them and cherish every last minute you spend with them.
4. Friends
It can be easy to get caught up in work and forget about friends, but you certainly do not want to lose touch with the people that mean the most to you. Friends are there for you good times or bad and certainly deserve time in your life. Make sure whether its once a week or once a day you go to lunch with a friend, see a movie or even take a vacation with friends to show them you care.
5. Have Fun
Perhaps the most important personal time management on your agenda needs to be your social life. Life is too short to focus on work 24/7 along with the millions of other stress related issues. Get out and have fun with friends, enjoy a movie with a better half, or simply relax and read a book to yourself. Whatever you find enjoyable in life, plan time to do just that every day to keep life enjoyable.
Remember it is better to have a personal time management plan and do the stuff that that you know you should than not have a plan and let the important stuff slip by.
